Firestone Theatre and the Akron School for the Arts are housed at the Firestone Community Learning Center in Akron, Ohio. We present a full season of award-winning plays and musicals that provide meaningful experiences for students both onstage and off. Our nationally-recognized academic theatre education program is a challenging and comprehensive course of study for the serious high school student. Our facility is state-of-the-art and offers students the opportunity to practice their craft both onstage and off.

Eric Mansfield
IN "Trial by Fire," local playwright Eric Mansfield creates a telling and prescient morality play in which a private school teacher must stand up to the powers-that-be to maintain her integrity and possibly her job. Her students learn to stand up for themselves and take agency over what is important to them.
